Inspired by the generous vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and with Abu Dhabi’s Vision 2030 to build a strong generation able to defend itself. And with His Highness's support and guidance, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation started working, from its very inception, with a clear and obvious objective to make Abu Dhabi the world capital of Jiu- Jitsu.
The Federation is the official authority for Jiu-Jitsu in the UAE and plays a leading role in supporting Jiu-Jitsu and contributing to building a strong generation of UAE athletes to xcel at the local and international levels. It aims to do this by implementing policies that develop the sport in collaboration with various government entities, educational institutions and other partners in order to advance the sport locally, regionally and globally.
The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation’s mission is to work towards creating a supportive and motivating sports environment to achieve excellence and global competitiveness in Jiu-Jitsu sports and its vision is to be a leading organization and a symbol for Jiu-Jitsu sports globally.
Throughout history Jiu-Jitsu has operated within a culture of honor that combines martial skills with ethical codes as it develops seven character traits:

- Truthfulness • Honor
UAE Jiu Jitsu Federation has launched a Jiu-Jitsu program in schools believing that Jiu-Jitsu helps create a strong and ethical generation which is a Key Objective of the vision for Abu Dhabi.
Jiu-Jitsu guides our youth toward more considerate behavior and helps create a moral code by which to live their lives. It helps balance their physical capabilities with a strong moral character, encourages ethical behavior and reconfigures the neural pathways turning moral behavior into instinct.
